A beauty item is considered a ‘cult’ product when pretty much everyone loves it and these five on the blog today are no exception. Raved about because they are some of the best of their type in the market, whether that’s high or low end they are definitely one for the makeup bag . I seriously suggest that if you haven’t tried them, give them a go you won’t be disappointed.
MAC blushes have always been a firm favourite in the beauty world, however this mineralised one has always been a stand out. Warm Soul is a baked blush which means it has a gold shimmer running through it which gives your cheeks a luminous glowy flush. It’s so perfect as it would suit pretty much anyone and flatters any type of makeup look.
This is one of those products that looks scary to begin with but once you start using it you are instantly hooked. A setting powder that you can dust over your foundation to keep it in place all day and it never looks cake-y or too powdery. You can also bake with it, no not a cake its actually a makeup trend used to highlight the face in a very Kim Kardashian type of way. Read this to understand what I mean.
If you want flawless foundation look no further than the Beauty Blender, this little sponge is a dream to diffuse foundation and concealer into the skin beautifully. Used damp you use dabbing motions to blend away on to the skin. Brushes for your base makeup no longer cut it in my eyes, I am truly converted.
This concealer has been raved about so many times in the blogosphere, not only is it a great product its only £4.19! Cult because its so affordable, this concealer stands up to some higher end versions making it a must have. With a great consistency that’s not too watery and not too thick it blends like a dream into the skin. It also has great lasting power and it doesn’t crease under the eyes as the day goes on. I use this with my Laura Mercier setting powder over the top and I love it.
With Kylie Jenner as it’s creator this was bound to be a hit and it certainly did not disappoint. It has such great lasting power, you can eat an entire meal and it barely budges. Some people have said they have found it drying and yes it is a matte consistency so naturally it isn’t balmy on the lips, but if you make sure you have used a lip salve before and let that soak in and do not apply multiple coats you get a great finish. Just a little heads up though if you are thinking of getting a Lipkit, they do come out darker than they appear in the tube.
